Ponds & Fish

Old Bathtub Pond

I had the bathtub in the ground for quite a while but when I built the new front pond I took it out. It was neat in the beginning but because it was only 60 gallons it required more work than it was worth. It is much harder to maintain a proper balance in a small pond and the bathtub was constantly the color of pea soup in the summer. The water also got way too warm because it was so small. I think a bathtub pond would work well in a cooler climate but doesn't seem to do well in a warm one like south Florida. Enjoy the pictures!

.

I hope that you enjoyed the pictures of the old bathtub pond.
